Giorgia madiai

Born in Livorno , Giorgia, spent her childhood between her father’s studio, the painter Mario Madiai, and the neighbourhood courtyards around the Livorno stadium. At the age of 18 she moved to London where in 1998 she obtained a BA in Fine Art at Middlesex University. The various disciplines carried out during her university period led to her preference towards photography and the darkroom which she abandoned in 2005 for digital photography until 2014.

In 2014 she began her pictorial journey, creating a link with the work carried out in the past photographically through the sacred and the divine feminine. Art lover in all its forms, Giorgia, Madiai is known to create events and continuous situations to create connections between people; between 2016/2022 her studio was based in Barga, in via del Pretorio 4, where she hosts artists from all over the world. Her works are exhibited in Italy and abroad and appear in private collections in Italy, Great Britain, Poland, Germany, Greece, USA, Norway..
